Needed materials

  • Nylon sheet

Caution:

Handle chemicals with great care because you can sustain injuries if you don’t handle them properly.

In case of an accidental chemical spill on the skin, rinse off immediately with a lot of water and seek medical help.

How to produce Vaseline

Chemicals needed for the production of Vaseline and the quantity required are as follows

  • 1 kg of Petroleum jelly
  • 1/8 kg of Paraffin wax
  • 1 Liter of Paraffin Oil
  • Fragrance: quantity as desired

Procedure involved in Vaseline Production

Place an empty clean pot on the fire and allow the pot to heat for a while, once the pot is hot and completely free of water, move to step two.

  • Add petroleum jelly
  • Add paraffin oil
  • Add the micro wax
  • Allow the mixture above to melt
  • Once everything has completely melted, remove the pot from the fire and allow to cool down for a while.
  • Add fragrance
  • Package once the Vaseline is completely solid

Note: Package in an airtight container, be it glass or plastic.

How to produce Hair Cream

Chemicals needed for the production of Hair Cream and the quantity required.

  • 1 kg of Petroleum jelly
  • 1 Litre Paraffin Oil
  • 1/8 Litre of Glycerin
  • ¼ kg of Paraffin Wax
  • 1/8 kg of Sulphur
  • 1/8kg of Steric Acid
  • 1 spoonful of Lanoline
  • 1/8 spoonful of Menthol
  • Colour quantity as desired
  • Fragrance quantity as desired

 Procedure involved in Hair Cream Production


  • Place pot on fire and heat for a while
  • Add paraffin oil
  • Add petroleum jelly
  • Add Paraffin wax
  • Allow it to melt
  • Then add glycerin
  • Add Steric acid
  • Remove from fire and allow cooling
  • Add Fragrance
  • Add Colour
  • Add Menthol
  • Then add lanoline
  • Pour into packaging containers and allow to completely cool off and solidifies.


How to produce Dettol

Chemicals needed for the production of Dettol and the quantity required.

  • 1 Litre of Pine oil
  • 1 Liter of Chloroxylenol
  • 4 Liter of Methanol
  • 1 spoon of Texapon (optional)
  • Colour as desired

Procedure involved in Dettol Production


  • Pour Methanol into a container
  • Add Chloroxylenol
  • Add Texapon
  • Add color
  • Stir the mixture
  • Then package. Dettol is ready for use.

IZAL PRODUCTION

Chemicals needed for the production of IZAL and the quantity required.

  • ¼ Litre of Lysol
  • ¼ Litre of Phenol
  • 1 Litre of White binder
  • ¼ Litre of Izal concentrate
  • ¼ Litre of Booster
  • ¼ Litre of Texapon
  • ½ Litre of Water

Procedure involved in IZAL Production


  • Pour your texapon into an empty clean bowl
  • Add Lysol to it and stir until completely dissolved
  • Add Izal concentrate and stir
  • Add booster and stir
  • Add phenol and stir
  • Add water and stir
  • Add white binder and stir
  • Cover and leave for 45 minutes
  • Izal is ready for use or can be packaged for sale.

How to produce Face powder

Chemicals needed for the production of Face Powder and the quantity required.

  • 1kg Talcum Powder
  • 1 spoonful Fragrance
  • 1spoon Methanol (for medicated powder)
  • 1 spoon Color (optional)
  • 1 spoon Zinc oxide

Procedure involved in Dettol Production


  • Mix the Talcum powder in a bowl with Zinc oxide
  • Sieve the mixture
  •  Add fragrance
  • Then mix all ingredient together
  • Add methanol and color (if desired) and mix thoroughly
  • Package in an airtight container

How to produce Methylated Spirit

Chemicals needed for the production of Methylated Spirit and the quantity required.

  • 1 Litre of Paraffin oil
  • 1/8 Litre of  Methanol
  • ¼ Litre of Peppermint oil
  • 1/8 kg of  Vitamin E
  • ¼ Litre of Methyl salicylate
  • 1/8 Litre of  Menthol

The procedure involved in Methylated spirit Production


  • Pour Methanol into a container
  • Add Peppermint oil
  • Add Paraffin oil
  • Add Menthol
  • Add Vitamin E
  • Stir well
  • Leave for 24 hours
  • Package for use

How to produce Toilet Cleanser Formula

Chemicals needed for the production of Toilet cleanser formula and the quantity required.

  • 1 Litre of Hydrochloric Acid(HCl)
  • 1/4 kg of Soda Ash
  • ½ Liter of Sulphonic Acid
  • 1/4 Liter of Texapon
  • Colour as desired
  • Fragrance as desired
  • 2 Liters of Water

Procedure involved in Toilet Cleanser Formula Production


  • Mix texapon with water in a container and mix well
  • Add soda ash and mix
  • Add hydrochloric acid and mix for 20 minutes
  • Add Sulphuric acid and continue stirring
  • Add fragrance and color
  • Package, leave for 24 hrs before use.
Caution: Handle the chemicals with care especially Hydrochloric acid (HCl).

How to produce Liquid Air Freshener

Chemicals needed for the production of body perfume and the quantity required.

1/4 Litre of Methanol
1 Spoonful of Texapon
1/8 kg of Menthol
Fragrance as desired
Color as desired
1 Litre of Water

Procedure involved in Liquid Air Freshener Production


  • Pour Texapon into a container
  • Add methanol and stir
  • Add menthol
  • Add fragrance then stir
  • Add water
  • Add color then mix well
  • Package and the liquid air freshener is ready for use

How to produce Liquid Soap

Chemicals needed for the production of liquid soap and the quantity required.

  • 3 tablespoon of Nitrosol or CMC
  • ¼ kg of Texapon
  • 2 Litre of Sulphuric Acid
  • ½ tablespoon of Caustic Soda
  • ¼ kg of Soda ash
  • 1 teaspoon of Formalin
  • Colour as desired
  • Fragrance as desired
  • 2 tablespoon of SLS
  • 4 Litre of Water

Procedure involved in Liquid Air Freshener Production


  • Pour Nitrosol into an empty bowl
  • Pour water into it and stir for 15 minutes non-stop
  • In another bowl, mix sulphuric acid with Texapon, stir for 5minutes and then add it to the soap solution above
  • In another separate bowl mix caustic soda with water and stir well for 3 minutes, then pour the mixture into the soap solution
  • Add 1 spoon of formalin and stir
  • Add your desired color and stir
  • Add your fragrance and stir well
  • Leave for 24hrs before packaging or use

How to produce Bleach

Chemicals needed for the production of Bleach and the quantity required.

  • ½ kg of H.T.H (Chlorine)
  • ¼ kg of Caustic Soda
  • ¼ kg of Soda Ash
  • 1 teaspoon of Alum
  • 4 Liters of Water

Procedure involved in Bleach Production


  • Pour water into a bowl
  • Add Caustic soda
  • Add soda ash
  • Add H.T.H(Chlorine)
  • Add methanol and stir
  • Allow the mixture to sit for 48 hours
  • Package it for use/sales

How to produce Paint(Emulsion Paint Production)

Chemicals needed for the production of Bleach and the quantity required.

  • 17 kg  of  Calcium Carbonate
  • ¼ kg of Nitrosol
  • ¼ kg of Soda Ash
  • 1/6 kg of Titanium
  • 10 Liters of Water
  • 2 kg of PVA (Poly Vinyl Acetate )
  • 1/8kg of Ammonia
  • 1/8kg of Deformer
  • 2 kg of Kaolin
  • 1 Cup of Formalin
  • Color as desired

Procedure involved in Emulsion Paint Production


  • Pour water into a bowl
  • Add Calcium Carbonate
  • Add kaolin
  • Stir until everything has dissolved
  • Add titanium dioxide and stir
  • Add nitrosol and stir
  • Add PVA and stir
  • Add formalin
  • Add ammonia
  • Add preservation
  • Add color
  • Stir until everything is thoroughly mixed
  • Paint is ready for use

How to produce Bar Soap

Chemicals needed for the production of Bleach and the quantity required.

  • 3/4 kg Soda of Ash
  • ¼ kg Caustic of Soda
  • ¼ kg Soda of Ash
  • 1 gallon of PKO
  • 2 tablespoon of SLS
  • 1 tin milk cup of Sulphuric acid
  • 2 Tablespoon of Sodium Sulphate
  • 1 kg of Sodium Silicate
  • Fragrance as desired
  • 5 Liters of Water


Procedure involved in Bar Soap Production


  • Pour water into a bowl
  • Add Caustic soda, stir and leave for 24hrs to ferment
  • Also in another bowl add Soda Ash to water and allow to ferment for 24hrs
  • Pour Sodium Sulphate into water, this doesn’t need to ferment
  • Pour the three mixture together and stir
  • Add sulphuric acid and continue stirring
  • Add soda ash and stir
  • Add fragrance
  • Add color
  • Pour into mold and allow to solidify
  • Allow it to sit for 24hr
  • Now, your bar soap is ready for sales or use.

How to produce Shampoo

Chemicals needed for the production of body perfume and the quantity required.

  • 3 tablespoon of Antisol
  • 2 tablespoon of SLS
  • ½ kg of Soda Ash
  • 1 tin of Sulphuric acid
  • Fragrance as desired
  • Formalin 2 tablespoon
  • Colour as desired
  •  4½ Litres of Water

Procedure involved in Shampoo Production


  • Ferment Antisol with 4 liters of water by allowing the solution to sit for 48hours
  • In another container, ferment SLS with ¼ litre of water for 2 hours
  • Ferment soda ash for 2 hours and add sulphuric acid
  • Mix the solutions in three 3 steps above and stir very well
  • Add fragrance
  • Add formalin (serves as preservative)
  • Add color
  • Stir well and leave for 24 hours
  • Package for use or sales.

How to produce Body Perfume

Chemicals needed for the production of body perfume and the quantity required.

  • 1 Litre of Methanol
  • 1/4 Liter of Blue dream
  • ¼ Liter of Bluewater
  • Any Fragrance of choice

Procedure involved in Body Perfume Production


  • Pour blue dream into a container
  • Add blue water
  • Add any fragrance of choice
  • Add methanol
  • Stir or shake well
  • Leave for two hours, then package in airtight material

Note: Any combination of fragrance can be used. Experiment with mixtures of different fragrances until you get your own unique fragrance.
